None will be spared for campus unrest: Hasina
Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina has once again cautioned that none will be spared if engaged in disturbing the academic atmosphere on the campus.
“If the culprits belong to Bangladesh Chhatra League (BCL), arrest them and put them under trial,” she told a delegation of the Rajshahi University Teachers' Association (Ruta) that called on her at her office yesterday.
Hasina said her government is fully committed to maintain congenial academic atmosphere in all educational institutions. She accused the opposition BNP and its allies of vitiating the academic atmosphere on the campus.
“We are in a move to restore discipline in the educational intuitions so that the students can pursue their academic activities without any hindrance,” she said.
About the standard of education the prime minister said they are providing equipment and facilities to improve the standard.
Ruta President Dr M Azizul Islam and General Secretary Dr Ananda Kumar Saha who led the delegation apprised the prime minister of their role in overcoming militancy on the campus.
