No more university!
Recently the Microsoft-founder Bill Gates at a Techonomy conference in Lake Tahoe, Calif said- “Place-based colleges are good for parties, but are becoming less crucial for learning, thanks to the Internet.”
Bill Gates' company is working to bring down the cost of education remarkably through expanding computer-based e-education system using the Internet technology. Predicting on his plan, Bill Gates asserted “Five years from now on the web for free you'll be able to find the best lectures in the world.”
I think we have already entered the system of web based e-education. Nowadays both students and teachers are taking notes from the e-books on Internet, reading of printed books are rapidly losing popularity among the learners as well as the trainers. Well, this is good up to certain extent but in my opinion, the importance of classrooms and hard books will continue to exist as long as teaching-learning system be in action to perpetuate education.
