You will see people sleeping on islands in Karwan Bazar and many other places. Sleeping on the islands and sidewalks may be risky. One may be run over by vehicles. This sort of accidents have happened in the neighbouring country, a famous film actor was driving car and at a point of time he lost control and accidentally hurt the people sleeping on the street. Accidents are accidents. Accidents just happen. See, the heavy vehicles like truck, bus often lose control, cross the line and damage the road dividers. This often occurs in airport road. If the dividers can be crossed then crossing the island and sidewalks is not a matter at all. In earlier times, in the days of kings and nawabs there were panthoshala and dhormoshala for the passers-by and travellers. The homeless people could also sleep there at night. Now where will they go? Where will they sleep? So they sleep wherever they can. They need living places.
