Man killed in road crash
A man was killed in a road accident on Brahmanbaria Town Bypass Road on Sunday night.
The deceased was identified as Md Noor Ali Bhuiyan, 70, father of local Bangla daily Eastern Media Editor Md Nazrul Islam.
Police said driver of a microbus lost control over the steering and ran over Noor who was walking along the pavement, leaving him seriously injured.
Noor was rushed to Brahmanbaria Sadar Hospital where doctor declared him dead.
Local people seized the driver along with the microbus and handed him over to police.
