Worker dies after being hit by forklift
A crane operator of Chittagong Port was killed when a forklift accidentally hit him early yesterday.
The deceased, identified as Nurul Huda, 46, of Dagonbhuiyan of Feni, worked for a berth operator Saif Powerteck.
Chittagong Port Secretary Sayed Farhad Uddin said Nurul was going home after his shift when a loaded forklift hit him at the Chittagong Container Terminal around 7:00am.
He was rushed to Chittagong Medical College Hospital (CMCH) where doctors declared him dead, said Sub Inspector Jaharul Haq of CMCH police-box.
