Bangladesh elected to committee on Peace Building Commission

Bangladesh has been elected to the Organisational Committee on Peace Building Commission. A release from Bangladesh Permanent Mission to the UN says as top UN peacekeepers contributing country, Bangladesh earned the honour for 2011-12. Among the top 10 peacekeepers contributing countries, India, Nepal, Nigeria and Pakistan will also work on this committee. A total of 31 countries including five fund contributing countries and seven each from UN Security Council, General Assembly and ECOSOC will be on this committee.
