Djibouti president's stopover at airport today
Ismail Omar Guelleh, President of Djibouti, a country in the eastern part of Africa, will arrive in Dhaka today for brief stopover enroute to his country ending a four-day official visit to Japan.
Officials at the foreign ministry said the aircraft, which will carry the president, would arrive at the Hazrat Shahjalal International Airport around 1:30pm “just for refueling” and leave Bangladesh in an hour.
However, the officials are not sure about whether Ismail Omar Guelleh will step out from the aircraft during the refueling, as Djibouti foreign ministry is yet to inform anything, except the brief stopover.
Chief of Protocol Brigadier General Abu Sayeed Khan and other senior officials of the foreign ministry will be ready to receive the president if he comes out from the aircraft at the airport, according to the source.
