Woman beaten dead

A woman was beaten to death allegedly by her neighbour at Demra in the city yesterday morning. Police said Amela Khatun, 50, of Hajinagar died at Dhaka Medical College Hospital after one hour of the hammering by Anis, Sahida, and Rashida. Officer-in-charge Md Nurul Mottakin of Demra Police Station said the accused three hit Amela on the head with bamboos following a squabble. No case was filed yet, he added.
