Four snatchers were arrested with four firearms at West Shahid Nagar in the port city on Thursday. They are Suman Das, 29, son of Babul das, Nurul Afsar, 30, son of late Abul Basar, Md Abdul Ahad, 30, son of Amanullah, and Mohammad Ali, 22, son of Liyakat Ali. They all are resident of Madarbari area. Mohhiuddin Selim, officer-in-charge of Bayezid Police Station, said police seized one Amirican nine mm pistol, three local made light guns, two bullets, six cartridges and a knife from their possession. Police said they arrested the snatchers when they were getting ready for snatching at Shahid Naga near Oxygen area around 9:00pm.
