Mahbubul reinstated in BTV after court order

Mahbubul Alam has been appointed as deputy director general (DDG) of state-owned Bangladesh Television (BTV) as a court ordered to reinstate him with the same dignity. He joined the BTV on December 22, says a press release. Mahbubul was sent to forced retirement in March, 2007. He sought justice to the administrative tribunal, which termed the retirement illegal and issued notification saying his retirement was beyond jurisdiction. Officials of BTV greeted Mahbubul's arrival. He is noted for producing and writing many dramas and directing programmes.
