Muhith for establishing equality

Drawing attention to the existing social and financial disparity, Finance Minister Abul Maal Abdul Muhith yesterday said equality should be established for economic emancipation. The minister told a discussion meeting on the role of digital technology to fight against poverty and hunger at Sylhet Agriculture University. He said the people got independence, but yet to be freed from financial struggle. Vice Chancellor of the university Prof Mohamamd Shahid Ullah Talukdar and Shafiqur Rahman, MP, also spoke while President of the Teachers' Association of the university Prof Jamal Uddin Bhuiyan was in the chair. Muhith said the people who have long been deprived of social and financial justice should be put on the forecourt of all development activities for the wellbeing of all.
