Japanese team meets DU VC
A five-member delegation of Science Council of Japan (SCJ) met Dhaka University Vice-Chancellor Prof AAMS Arefin Siddique at the latter's office yesterday.
Headed by SCJ Vice-President (Professor Emiritus, University of Tokyo) Prof Hideki Karaki the delegation include Council Member of SCJ and Professor of the University of Tsukuba Cindy Yoshiko Shirata, Deputy Director General, Secretariat Masatoshi Tsunaki, Deputy Director, International Division, Secretariat Noriko Nakamura and Section Chief of International Affairs Division, Secretariat Tatsuhiro Koshita, said a DU press release.
Associate Professor of Yamaguchi University Mizuki Nakama and Second Secretary of the Embassy of Japan in Bangladesh Hideki Igawa were also present.
During the meeting they discussed academic matters of mutual interests and explored opportunities of collaborative relationship between the University of Dhaka and the SCJ.
