Poltu elected IUATLD's regional chairman
Muzaffar Hossain Poltu has been elected the South East Asia Regional Chairman of International Union Against Tuberculosis and Lung Disease (IUATLD) for next two years.
Muzaffar, a senior vice president of National Anti-Tuberculosis Association of Bangladesh (NATAB), has been involved in the Anti-Tuberculosis movement for more than 40 years, says a press release.
He has made the chairman the 2nd South East Asia Regional Conference in Sri Lanka on December 9 and 10.
The IUATLD organised the conference.
Representatives from Bangladesh, Nepal, Pakistan, Myanmar, India, Afghanistan, Bhutan and Sri Lanka took part in the conference.
