Today is the 17th death anniversary of Abdul Jabber Khan, a freedom fighter and the first filmmaker in the country, says a press release. He directed the first film 'Mukh O Mukhosh'. He was the director of the Film Division and adviser of the Shwadhin Bangla Betar. He was also the chairman of Rajarbagh Rifle Club, Kamlapur School and College, Purbachal Parishad and Victoria Club. He was also the founder of Nurani Maktab and Mayakanan. On the occasion, a doa Mahfil will be held at house no-11, Road no-13, Dhanmondi in the city today.
