Trader rescued after abduction

At a drive, police on Sunday rescued a trader from Sirajganj who was abducted a week back for ransom from the city's Ramna and arrested six alleged abductors in this connection. They are Mohammad Fazlu, 35, Sujon, 38, Al Amin, 27, Surot Ali, 42, Maydan 25, and Ferdaous Akhter Bubli. Police said, Bubli developed a relationship with trader Shuvrato Roy of Sherpur and called him over phone to her house at Gazipur when Shuvrato went to Dhaka on Dec 19. Later, the abductors took the victim to Saklam village of Sirajganj and demanded Tk 50 lakh from his family as ransom.
