Underprivileged children, 10 to 16 years, cast their votes to elect representatives in the port city yesterday. The representatives were elected for two years. The election was a part of a project named “Children's Actions for Social Empowerment” implemented by Bright Bangladesh Forum and funded by Manusher Jonno Foundation. The election was held in three different wards of Chittagong City Corporation. Prof AQM. Sirajul Islam, the chief election commissioner, said the aim of the election is to develop the democratic value.
