Cattle lifter lynched

An unidentified cattle lifter was killed in a mass beating at Bhatbaur village in Sadar upazila early yesterday. Quoting locals, SI of Sadar police Kamal Hossain said a group of cow lifters entered the house of Tara Mia around 2:00am and lifted two cows from there. Hearing cry for help, neighbors rushed to the spot and caught one of the cow lifters and beat him up, leaving him dead on the spot. Police sent the body to Sadar hospital morgue for autopsy.
