Criminals threat to kill family members
File 'false abduction' case
Rickshaw-puller Umed Ali, father of seven-year old Neyamul, maimed by criminals who force children into begging, is on the run along with his family. A case was filed against him on false charges of abducting one of the criminals.
A local criminal Omar Faruk leads the criminal gang and Korban, Ramjan, Russel and Saddam are its identified members. They are now threatening to kill the family.
Sources said when Umed filed a case with Kamrangirchar Police Station, Korban's mother Ayesha Begum filed another false case with Kadamtali Police Station on December 11 saying Umed and his friend Al Amin kidnapped Korban from Baraitola at Kadamtali.
Kadamtali Police SI Sirajul Islam said they are searching for Umed to arrest and interrogate him.
The gang kidnapped Neyamul on September 6 and chopped off his penis to force him into begging.
