National Press Club poll held

The election to the managing committee of the National Press Club was held at the club in the city yesterday. Two panels--one led by Golam Sarwar and Saiful Alam and another by Kamal Uddin Sabuj and Abdal Ahmed--are contesting the polls. Counting of votes was going on till filing of this report at 1:10am. Some 623 voters, out of 659, exercised their fancies to elect the 17-member managing committee for the next two years of the club.
