Anti-graft stamp released

Bangladesh postal department yesterday released a commemorative postage stamp based on anti-corruption with the view to promote social movement against the ill practice. Bangladesh Postal Department Director General Mobashwar-ur-Rahman and Anti-corruption Commission (ACC) Chairman Ghulam Rahman unveiled the stamp and inaugural envelope at a programme in ACC headquarters in the afternoon. The multicolored stamp is of Tk 5 denomination, containing the slogan “Say no to corruption.” Bangladesh is the fourth country to release such commemorative stamp against corruption. The former three countries include Taiwan and Nigeria. Transparency International, Bangladesh (TIB) Trustee Board President M Hafizuddin Khan, its Executive Director Dr Iftekharuzzaman, ACC Secretary Foyzur Rahman Chowdhury and two outgoing commissioners of ACC Habibur Rahman and Abul Hasan Manzoor Mannan were also present.
