Law minister urges judges to set charitable mind
Law Minister Shafique Ahmed yesterday urged judges to discharge duties with a charitable mindset to reduce sufferings of litigants and enhance public trust on the judiciary.
He told an inauguration of a training course for additional district judges, organised by Judicial Administration Training Institute (JATI) at its auditorium.
If judges discharge their duties with honesty, sincerity and efficiency, lakhs of pending cases will get quick disposal and transparency will prevail in the judicial system, said Shafique.
The trial courts can dismiss cases if their witnesses do not appear before the courts for placing statements within a particular time, he said incorporating such laws will dispose of cases quickly.
JATI Director General Justice Hamidul Huq presided over the occasion. 25 additional district judges participated in the training course.
