Bazlur Rahman's anniversary of death observed
The third death anniversary of Bazlur Rahman, former editor of the Sangbad, was observed in the city and his village residence in Nakla of Sherpur yesterday.
His wife Matia Chowdhury, also the agriculture minister, placed wreath at his grave at Mirpur Intellectuals' Graveyard. Later, wreaths were also placed on behalf of Bazlur Rahman Foundation, the Dainik Sangbad and BCS Association.
Tk 1 lakh and different instruments for paralysed people were distributed among the patients in CRP. A doa mahfil was also held at an orphanage at his's village.
Rahman died on February 26, 2008, says a press release.
