DU guard succumbs to injuries
The security guard of Dhaka University (DU) injured by a car-lifter gang, succumbed to his injuries in BSMMU Hospital on Saturday night.
Deceased Babul Hossain, 45, a security guard of DU Pro VC Prof Harun-or-Rashid hailed from Barisal.
Police said hearing screaming for help from a house in Isakha residential area of DU around 9:45pm on Thursday, Babul rushed in and closed the gate of the area but the gang broke open the gate with their speeding car which hit the guard.
Locals caught Musa while his three cohorts managed to escape. Police seized the car and admitted Babul to BSMMU Hospital.
