3 killed in road crashes
Three people were killed and 15 others injured in road accidents in Dinajpur, Lalmonirhat, and Jessore yesterday.
Our Dinajpur correspondent reports: A man was killed and 15 people wounded as a bus fell into a ditch at Kashidanga village of Biral in Dinajpur yesterday. Bhabanu Roy, 42, of the village Azimpur Madhupur of the upazila, died on the spot.
The injured were rushed to Biral Upazila Health Complex. Six of them were shifted to Dinajpur Medical College Hospital.
Our Lalmonirhat correspondent says: A motorcycle rider was killed after his vehicle crashed into a roadside tree at Nowdabash village of Hatibandha upazila in Lalmonirhat yesterday. Mozammel Miah, 28, son of Reaz Uddin of the village, died en route to Rangpur Medical College Hospital.
Our Benapole correspondent adds: A bicycle rider was killed after being run over by a Khulna-bound bus near Sankarpur Central Bus Terminal in Jessore town yesterday. Taposh Bormon, 35, of Bormanpara in Sankarpur, died on the spot.
