Raider beaten dead in Ctg
An alleged robber was killed and two others injured in a beating by agitating locals at Battali union under Anwara upazila in Chittagong early yesterday.
Dead is Mohammad Kamal, 24, of village Charbarma of Satkania, and the injured are Samsul Alam and Amir Hossain.
Police said locals caught the raiders as they were fleeing after looting Tk 3-4 lakh in cash and some gold ornaments from local Awami League leader Golam Mohammad's house. Some 20-25 other robbers of the gang managed to escape.
