Paban's bail term extended for sixth time
A Dhaka court yesterday extended the bail term of Khandaker Akhter Hamid Paban, son of BNP Secretary General Khandaker Delwar Hossain, till March 23 in a case filed for cracker explosion in front of Khaleda Zia's Gulshan Office last year.
Judge (in charge) Fozial Begum of the Third Additional Metropolitan Judge's Court passed the order after Paban's lawyer submitted a petition seeking extension of Paban's bail term considering his illness.
The court also fixed the same date for hearing on charge framing against Paban and five other accused in the case.
With this, the court had extended Paban's bail term for the sixth day.
