Couple hurt in bomb attack, 4 held
A married couple got serious injuries in a bomb attack by criminals at Peshinagar village in Harinakundo upazila in Jhenidah on Wednesday night.
Criminals hurled a bomb and fired shotgun bullets through the window of Akkas Ali's house where he and his wife Rahimon Khatun were sleeping at 10:30pm, police and locals said.
With serious injuries, Akkas and Rahimon were rushed to Harinakundo Upazila Health Complex.
The criminals also blasted two bombs in front of Nurul Islam's house of the same village. Later the villagers chased them away.
On information, Harinakundo police launched a massive hunt and arrested Moshiur Rahman, 50, Monoar Hossain, 45, his son Halim, 24, and Azimuddin, 30, for their involvement in the incident.
The four were sent to Jhenidah court.
