Sea turtle trade
I am writing after reading a shocking piece of news that I just went through in newspapers (Dec 26, 2007), that two endangered Olive Ridley Sea Turtle have been sold in front of the Shib Mandir near Tanti Bazar in Dhaka city.
It's really very sad to see this sort of news. All sea turtles are endangered throughout the whole world and are protected by law even in Bangladesh.
The Bangladesh government has already signed different international agreements to save sea turtle. So, the sale of a Ridley turtle in the middle of a capital in front of many people is not acceptable.
