President's birthday celebrated
The 82nd birth anniversary of President Zillur Rahman was celebrated at Bangabhaban in the city yesterday.
The secretaries to the president and Bangabhaban officials and employees greeted the president with bouquets on this occasion and wished his good health. A cake was cut at the state dining hall of Bangabhaban.
Members of the president's family were present at the programme.
In his brief remarks, Zillur Rahman said he wants to dedicate himself to service of the people and the country as long as he remains alive. He also wished welfare of the countrymen and sought their blessings so he can properly serve the people.
Marking the occasion, a milad mahfil was held and special munajat was offered seeking the welfare of the country.
