Man beaten by son dies
The man, who was beaten up by his son Wednesday at Madhya Badda, succumbed to his injuries at Dhaka Medical Hospital (DMCH) yesterday.
Alauddin Miah, 55, was hit with a stone (used for crushing spices) on the chest by his son Robiul Islam Titu following an altercation on Wednesday morning.
Alauddin was beaten up as he refused to give the money that Titu demanded.
Aman Ullah, a brother of Alauddin, rushed the victim to a private hospital and later to DMCH.
Alauddin's father Suruz Miah filed a murder case with Badda Police Station accusing Titu, his mother, and sister. The three fled home following filing of the case.
