Planning Minister AK Khandker yesterday urged countrymen to conserve evidence and memorabilia of the War of Liberation, as a moral obligation, to teach country's history to young generation and raise patriotism in them. He told a function styled “Muktir Utshab” organised by Liberation War Museum at Dhaka University. Over 2,000 students of 185 schools of the city attended the function, aimed at raising awareness on the war. Construction work of the museum's permanent building at city's Agargon would begin very soon, he said. State Minister for Liberation War Affairs AB Tajul Islam, lawmaker Asaduzzaman Noor, Museum Trustee Dr Sarwar Ali and a number of cultural personalities, politicians and academicians were also present.
