Youth dies in police custody
An alleged drug peddler arrested last month, died early yesterday in police custody.
Aminul Islam Sohag, 28, son of Khurshid Mia of Batrish area in the district,
was rushed to the district hospital where he died on arrival at midnight.
The duty doctor, Abdul Majid, said Aminul had inflamed, fluid-filled lungs probably caused by extensive usage of drugs.
Shafiqul Islam, the prison guard, said Aminul was complaining of chest pain since Thursday evening.
