Korea raises quotas for Bangladeshi workers
The Korean government has allotted 400 more quotas for Bangladeshi workers this year, raising the total quotas to 4,800 from 4,400 in 2010.
The quotas have been increased with the direct effort of Korean Ambassador in Dhaka, Taiyoung Cho, says a press release yesterday.
Despite 4,400 quotas last year, only 2,400 Bangladeshi labourers managed to qualify Korean employers' requirement and secured jobs there.
The release says that as employment mainly depends on employers, Bangladeshi workers should be hardworking and loyal to employer and Korean laws and regulations.
It also warned that Bangladeshi nationals should not use false information (name, date of birth etc), especially, fake or false passport or National ID Card to go to Korea.
