Businessman shot dead
Miscreants shot a businessman dead allegedly over money-related dispute at Damodar union in Fultola upazila of Khulna Tuesday night.
The deceased is Zinnah Bhuiyan, 52, owner of Mouri Shopping Centre.
Fultola OC Ilias Fakir suspected that he might have been killed over transaction of money.
Family sources said Zinnah was not involved in politics.
On Tuesday night, a gang of criminals was waiting for Zinnah in an auto-rickshaw 50 yards away from his house.
As Zinnah, his son Rifat, and shop staff Shekhar were returning home, the criminals waylaid them and shot in his back at point-blank range around 9:45pm and left the scene. The victim died on the way to Khulna Medical College Hospital.
