Saidpur airport resumes soon: Qader
Civil Aviation and Tourism Minister GM Qader has said the government would resume Saidpur Airport very soon to boost trade and commerce in the northern districts of the country.
The minister said this while exchanging views with the Nilphamari leaders and workers of Jatiya Party here on Thursday.
The minister said Biman would resume its flights between Dhaka and Saidpur to increase domestic and foreign investment in northern EPZ for boosting economic prosperity.
The flight of Biman on Saidpur-Dhaka route was cancelled in 2003 due to losses.
With district president of Jatiya Party Mahbub Ali Bulu in the chair, it was addressed, among others, by district Muktijoddha commander and Jatiya Party leader Joynal Abedin.
