'Treat challenged people positively'
Former adviser to a caretaker government Advocate Sultana Kamal yesterday urged all to show a positive attitude towards people with disabilities to protect their rights.
Everyone should realise that these people are a significant part of society. So their rights should be ensured for the entire development of the country and for establishing good governance, said Sulana Kamal, also executive director of Ain O Shalish Kendra.
She was speaking as the chief guest at a discussion meeting organised by School for Gifted Children, a special school run by Tauri Foundation, to mark its 7th founding anniversary at LGED auditorium in the city, says a press release.
She also vowed to extend all sorts of cooperation from her organisation to establish their rights.
Addressing the function, the foundation Executive Director Ashfaq-ul-Kabir said they would construct a complex to provide all sorts of facilities to people with disabilities, using one stop service.
The foundation President Dr Kazi Sabbir Ahmed chaired the function, while the school's Director Marufa Hossain and other officials were present.
Later, a cultural function performed by the school students was held.
