Seven structures gutted in fire
Four shops, two semi-pucca houses and a mini garment factory were gutted in a fire in Green View residential area under Halishahar in the port city yesterday.
Fire service sources said the fire originated from mosquito coil in a semi-pucca house around 3:30am and soon engulfed adjacent shops, houses and a mini garment factory named Shubheccha Enterprise.
Fire fighters from Agrabad Fire Station and Nimtoli Dock Fire Station rushed to the spot and extinguished the fire around 5:15am.
