Cop's Deaths on Road
PM gives Tk 10 lakh to each family
Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina gave Tk 10 lakh to each of the families of 10 police personnel, including three officers who were killed in road accident at Belabo in Narsingdhi in January this year.
While they were on duty for municipal election in Naringdhi, a truck rammed their van on January 15. They are Faruk Ahmed Khan, Ziaul Huq Khan, Kongkan Kumar Mondol, Bazlur Rahman, Krishna Kanta Barman, Rezaul Karim, Masud Parvez, Narayan Chandra Chanda, Priyatos Chandra Pal and Reaz Uddin.
Sheikh Hasina handed over the cheques to the family members from the prime minister's relief fund at her office yesterday.
