Rickshaw-puller sets example of honesty
A rickshaw-puller has set a rare example of honesty by returning a bag containing Tk 1.30 lakh to its owner.
Rickshaw-puller Khokon Mia's passenger Mokbul Prodhan, a businessman, presented him Tk 5,000 after getting back his money yesterday.
Khokon from Jamalpur pulls a rickshaw from a garage of Shahjahan Pandit at Chitasal in Bandar upazila.
Khokon said Mokbul hired his rickshaw in front of Sonali Bank at Nabiganj, but after reaching his destination in Kadamrasul Noorbagh area, Mokbul forgot to take his bag. Khokon also did not notice the matter.
After taking another passenger from Bandar, the passenger noticed the bag. Later, in a bid to return the money Khokon arranged miking in the area to search the owner of the money.
Hearing the announcement, Mokbul went to Khokon's rickshaw garage and after showing evidence he got back the money.
