CU holds nat'l day events
Chittagong University (CU) observed the 40th Independence and National Day yesterday amid much enthusiasm as elsewhere in the country.
A huge number of students and visitors thronged the university campus to mark the day. CU acting Vice-Chancellor (VC) Prof Dr Mohammad Alauddin paid tribute to the martyrs through placing wreaths at Swadhinatar Swarak Vaskarjo at 8:00am. Teachers' association, provosts, directors of the institutes and various socio-cultural organisations of CU also placed wreaths there.
