Child drowns in bucket of water at Khilgaon
A two and a half year old child drowned in a bucket of water at his Khilgaon residence in the city yesterday.
The child Mitul Hossain Zisan was rushed to a local clinic and then shifted to Dhaka Medical College Hospital where doctors declared him dead around 3:00pm.
His mother Mukti Begum, resident of Bhuiya Para of Goran, said she filled a bucket of water in the bathroom to wash clothes and went to prepare food in the kitchen.
"I last saw Zisan playing in our bedroom before getting busy with cooking but could not find him after I finished," she said, adding that soon she found Zishan's body upside down in the bucket.
Zishan's father Delwar Hossain, owner of a tailor shop at Goran Bazar, was not present in the house, she added.
