Indian navy chief arrives
Chief of Naval Staff of Indian Navy Admiral Nirmal Verma arrived in Bangladesh yesterday on a five-day visit at the invitation of his Bangladeshi counterpart Vice Admiral Zahir Uddin Ahmed.
During his visit, Admiral Verma is expected to call on the president and prime minister, meet senior officers of Bangladesh Armed Forces and visit Chittagong, Mongla and Khulna, says an Indian High Commission press release.
On the occasion, Indian Naval Ship AIRAVAT will be on a goodwill visit at Chittagong from April 3 to 7.
