HC directive to demolish BGMEA Bhaban hailed
Bangladesh Poribesh Andolan (Bapa) yesterday expressed contentment that the High Court has ordered demolition of the BGMEA building at Hatirjheel in the city.
In a written statement, Bapa described the ruling as historic and said it would serve as a milestone in protecting other water bodies across the country.
Bapa leaders also strongly demanded rapid implementation of the HC order and punishment to those who have misled the country's leaders to illegally construct the building, reads the statement signed by Bapa general secretary Dr M Abdul Matin.
