Achintya Sen no more
Achintya Sen, a veteran journalist and a permanent member of Jatiya Press Club, passed away at Labaid Hospital in the city yesterday. He was 64.
He had been suffering from various complications including heart and kidney problems
He left behind his wife Dipa Sen and a host of friends and admirers to mourn his death.
BNP Chairperson Khaleda Zia expressed shock at the death of the veteran journalist.
In a statement, the BNP chief said Achintya Sen was a fearless worrier in all movements against autocracy adding that the nation has lost a great son with his demise.
She prayed for the salvation of the departed soul and expressed sympathy to the bereaved family members.
Jatiya Press Club President Kamal Uddin Sabuj and General Secretary Syed Abdal Ahmed also expressed shock at the death of Achintya Sen.
