Woman injected to death allegedly by husband
A housewife died after allegedly being injected poison by her husband and his accomplice at Faijullapur village in sadar upazila of Satkhira on Thursday.
The victim Shahanara Khatun, 28, is the wife of Rafiqul Islam, son of Shahar Ali of the area.
Police arrested the accomplice Abu Syeed, 28, son of Samsur Rahman of the area, but failed to nab Rafiqul.
Shahanara's parents said Rafiqul used to torture her for dowry and for this she seriously became ill on Thursday.
Rafiqul brought Abu, impersonating a doctor, who then injected poison into Shahanara's body, said police.
Police sent the body to Satkhira morgue for autopsy.
Shahanara's brother Manirul Islam filed a case with sadar thana accusing the two.
