CU dept kept locked for 3 hours
Students studying Sanskrit at Chittagong University (CU) yesterday demanded two separate examination committees for Pali and Sanskrit languages.
The two languages are taught in the department of oriental languages (Pali and Sanskrit) of CU.
Sanskrit students kept the classrooms and offices of the teachers locked for around three hours from 8:00am to press the demand.
The students withdrew the strike after Assistant Proctor Mohammad Shaidul Islam assured them of forming separate committees.
There had been always two exam committees, one for Sanskrit and the other for Pali. This year a single committee is formed with teachers of Pali.
