Saarc seed fair begins today
A two-day Saarc seed congress and fair begins in the city's Bangabandhu International Conference Centre today.
Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina will be present as chief guest at the inaugural programme. Agriculture Ministry, Bangladesh Seed Association, and Saarc Seed Forum will jointly organise the fair.
The seed congress and fair is being organised as part of the Saarc regional effort to strengthen the food security among the nations through development of seed industries, said Anwar Faruque, convenor of Saarc Seed Forum and director general of Seed Wing of Agriculture Ministry.
