Road crashes kill 3

Three people were killed and two others injured in separate road accidents in Chittagong and Narail on Thursday and yesterday. Our Chittagong correspondent says: A woman was killed in a road accident at AK Khan intersection in the port city yesterday. Police said an unidentified woman, aged about 25, was crashed under the wheels of a city bus at AK Khan intersection of Pahartali around 7:30am. Locals rushed her to Chittagong Medical College Hospital where duty doctors declared her dead. The bus managed to flee immediately after the accident. Our Narail correspondent adds: Two persons including a 10-year boy were killed in separate road accidents in the district. Police said the first accident occurred at Mohiskhola village yesterday when a truck crushed Zihad Mollah, 10, while he was going to attend private tutor with his classmate, leaving him dead on the spot. In another accident, a farmer, Lyek Mollah, was killed and two others were injured as a truck hit their rickshaw van at Nishinathtola on Thursday.
