Dipu Moni told the envoy that as a corrective measure the government has formed an independent and neutral review committee of multi-disciplinary experts to make a comprehensive investigation into the issues relating to Prof Yunus and Grameen Bank.
The review committee is expected to submit its report to the finance minister today, official sources said.
She assured the envoy of the government's firm conviction and commitment in upholding the rule of law and the independence of the judiciary.
