PM inaugurates Ctg passport, visa office building
Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina yesterday formally inaugurated the new building of the Chittagong Divisional Passport and Visa office at DT Road in Mansurabad of the port city.
After the inauguration at a simple function, the prime minister said with this new building the longstanding demand of the area has been fulfilled.
“Now the people of Chittagong will not need to go to the capital for their passport related works,” she said.
Home Minister Shahara Khatun also spoke at the function.
The work on the Tk 13.77 crore project of building the passport office began in March last year and was scheduled to end in June this year.
Officials concerned briefed the prime minister about the newly constructed Divisional Passport and Visa Office building.
